Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Rugged Ascend, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), which operates the Lone Star Equity website, collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain English. Please read it alongside our TCPA Consent and Terms of Use.

The short version: We collect the details you enter so we can connect you with licensed mortgage professionals who may be able to help. We do not sell your information for money. The one thing we do with it — sharing it with participating licensed lenders so they can respond to your inquiry — is described plainly below.

01Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

Information you give us

When you complete a form on this site, you provide details such as your name, phone number, email address, property address, city, ZIP code, estimated home value, current mortgage balance, your reason for inquiring, and any comments you choose to add.

Information collected automatically

When you use the site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information including your IP address, browser type and settings, device type, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the website or advertisement that referred you.

Information from other sources

Participating lenders or service providers may share information with us about the status of your inquiry, and we may receive analytics or advertising data from the providers described below.

02How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

03Sharing information with participating lenders

This website is a lead-generation platform. The core purpose of collecting your information is to share it with participating licensed mortgage lenders, brokers, loan originators, and their authorized service providers so that they can contact you about mortgage or home equity products that may fit your needs.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never sell it for unrelated purposes. The only circumstance in which we share the information you submit is for the purpose of connecting you with licensed mortgage professionals who may be able to help you — which is the reason you provided it.

Depending on your situation, your information may be shared with more than one participating lender. We may also share information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf (such as hosting, communications delivery, and fraud prevention), and we may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

By submitting a form, you authorize this sharing. See our Consumer Consent to Share Information for the full authorization.

04Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies — small data files stored on your device — to make the site work, remember your preferences, measure performance, and support advertising. Some cookies are essential; others are optional.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can usually delete or block them. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site functions. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

05Analytics

We use analytics providers (which may include Google Analytics or similar services) to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These providers collect information such as pages visited, time on page, and general location derived from IP address. This information is used in aggregate. You can learn about opting out of certain analytics through the provider's own tools and privacy settings.

06Advertising

We may advertise this site on third-party platforms and may use advertising technologies (such as pixels or tags) to measure the performance of our advertising and to show relevant ads. These technologies may collect information about your interactions with our ads and site. We do not use the sensitive financial details you submit through our forms to target advertising to you.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sharing" of information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as described in the California and Your rights sections.

07Data security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information you submit, including encrypted transmission of form data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You submit information at your own risk, and you should take care to protect your account and device.

08Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — including connecting you with lenders, maintaining records of your consent, resolving disputes, and complying with our legal obligations. Consent and communication records may be retained for several years to demonstrate compliance with applicable telemarketing and lending laws. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

09Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

AccessRequest a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
CorrectionAsk us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
DeletionAsk us to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
Opt out of sale/sharingOpt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined by applicable law.
Withdraw consentWithdraw consent to contact at any time — reply STOP to texts, click unsubscribe in emails, or ask a caller to stop.
Non-discriminationYou will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any right, contact us using the details in the contact section. We will verify your request before acting on it and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10California privacy rights

This section applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). We include it now so the site is ready as we expand beyond Texas; where we do not yet operate, some provisions may not currently apply.

Categories of information

In the past 12 months we may have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, address, email, phone, IP address); financial information you provide (such as estimated home value and mortgage balance); internet activity (such as browsing and interaction data); and geolocation derived from IP address.

How we use and disclose it

We use these categories for the business purposes described in this policy and disclose them to participating lenders and service providers as described in the sharing section.

"Sale" and "sharing"

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Certain disclosures to lenders or the use of advertising technologies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA's broad definitions. California residents may opt out of any such sale or sharing by contacting us or using any "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link we make available.

Your California rights

California residents have the rights listed in the Your rights section, including the right to know, delete, correct, opt out, and limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

11Third-party websites

Our site and the communications you receive may contain links to websites we do not operate — including those of participating lenders. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to this site. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

12Children's privacy (COPPA)

This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
